GFATM Course


College of Nursing has been identified as the Sub-Sub recipient of the GFATM project funded by the Global Fund in collaboration with Indian Council. The project has the approval of DGAFMS vide letter No B/69063/DGMS-4B dt 10 Aug 2009. Brig Rosaly Mathew is the Principal Coordinator and Lt Col Vandana Agnihotri is the Project Coordinator & trainer of the course. Till date Total 2337 nurses have been trained out of which 486 are MNS officers.

Training


The faculty of the College is actively involved in classroom and clinical teaching in their area of specialization for all the courses run by the College. The faculty are the Postgraduate nurses ion different specialities. External Lecturers are also engaged on part time basis for teaching subjects like Sociology, Nutrition, Hindi, education and Computer Science.
Clinical experience is provided in the following areas

  1. Parent Hospital     - Command Hospital (Southern Command) Pune
  2. Affiliated hospitals - Military Hospital Cardio Thoracic Centre for Cardio Thoracic Nursing & Military Hospital, Kirkee for Orthopaedic Nursing
  3. Urban Community Health experience - Sholapur Bazaar, Ramtekdi,  Tadiwala Road and Cantonment General Hospital.
  4. Rural Community Health Experience - Phursungi and Kasurdi village
